Of course doing a 2017 NFL Mock Draft right now is moronic on several levels, considering the NFL season is just a month old, there will be a ton of trades, and the order will change around in several ways, but the goal is to provide a snapshot of the market and, roughly, where the top prospects might go.
As the only winless team in the NFL through four weeks, the Cleveland Browns are the favorites to own the No. 1 overall pick in next year’s NFL Draft — an October tradition Cleveland fans would rather forget. Rookie quarterback Cody Kessler has done a solid job in his two starts, but has a limited ceiling and isn’t the long-term answer for the franchise.
Is there a quarterback worth the No. 1 overall pick? Of course.
